Simon Demetriou is Languages Faculty Coordinator at a leading British International School in Cyprus, where he also heads the English Department and the school’s Gifted & Talented Programme.

He holds a BA in English Language and Literature and an MSt in Literature and Arts, both from the University of Oxford, and completed his PGCE at the University of Cambridge.

Before his current role, he worked in the UK at leading state and independent boarding schools, leading Oxbridge preparation for English undergraduate programmes at each school.

On the side, he writes a weekly book review column in The Cyprus Mail and has published research on Daniel Defoe and Matthew Arnold.
