About Susan Willis Dunlap

ENGLISH FACULTY | USA

Susan Willis Dunlap has her Master of Education degree in International Teaching from Framingham State University, and she has 15 years of teaching and administrative experience at the high school and college level. Her favorite job was teaching American Literature and AP English Language at Escuela Americana in San Salvador. While working with students in El Salvador, Susan developed her love for tutoring in SAT/ACT and editing college essays.

Susan’s experience with the college application process began when she helped her daughter, Maggie, navigate her college search in the United States while living abroad. Susan learned then how a strong personal essay, a solid standardized test score, and an impressive resume impact the decisions of college admissions offices.

Susan occasionally serves as a fundraising consultant for private schools. She recently had the exciting opportunity to travel to Turkey to work with the Development Office for Robert College in Istanbul. She is currently serving as the Chair of the Alumni Council for the Spartanburg Day School, her high school alma mater and home to (hopefully) future NBA Basketball star Zion Williamson.

Now a Director of Operations for a construction company in her hometown of Spartanburg, SC, Susan understands the vital connection between success in business and a strong education. As a safety instructor, Susan travels the Southeast visiting job sites and training employees for Regional Utility Services, Inc.
