Susana de Urruela, better known as Susy, The College Coach, was born and grew up in Guatemala, or Guate, as she likes to say. Having studied at Universidad del Istmo and Universidad Francisco Marroquín, she obtained her degree in Human Resources and served as Corporate Affairs Manager and HR Manager for more than 15 years in the corporate world. An interesting fact about Susy is that she was also a professional ballet dancer who lived in Mexico, Canada, and France!

Susy ventured into the education sector as Human Resources Director and later College Counseling Services Director for APDE Schools Guatemala. She is the founder and CEO of College Coach Guatemala, is an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counselors (NACAC), the International Association for College Admission Counselor (Intl. ACAC), and Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). Not busy enough with all of this, she has also been the Director of the Central America College Tour since 2015. Furthermore, Susy has participated in the Harvard Summer Institute on College Admissions, the Summer Institute for International Counselors at Georgetown University, Career Planning for College Admissions at UC Berkeley Extension and is an MBTI and Strong Interest Inventory Certified Practioner. She has visited more than 200 universities across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Latin America, and is excited to be co-leading the first 4U! Central America Tour!
