Robert Bouressa is an accomplished college admissions and counseling professional with more than four decades of experience guiding students through higher education pathways across the United States and abroad. From 2005-2026, he served as Director of College Guidance at Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Florida, where he led college counseling initiatives that prepare students for admissions success at top universities worldwide.
Before joining Saint Andrew’s, Robert served as the Associate Director of Admissions at Georgetown University, where he led national and international recruitment programs and selection processes. He spent a decade as Director of Admission and College Counseling at the Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro (EARJ) in Brazil, following his earlier admissions leadership role at Georgetown. His expertise bridges both sides of the admissions process—bringing insight from university recruitment, college counseling, international school leadership, and student advising.
Robert has served on the Board of Directors for the International ACAC (IACAC) and the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC), as well as on several university and educational advisory boards. A frequent conference speaker, Robert has presented for organizations including NACAC, SACAC, and the International Baccalaureate, with topics ranging from global admissions trends and ethical practices to the evolving role of the IB diploma in higher education. His contributions reflect a lifelong commitment to access, equity, and helping students find their best-fit educational paths.
