David has served as Managing Director of Global College Counselors Ltd and Director of Univisits Ltd, both based in Orkney, UK, since 2010. Through this work, he has developed extensive expertise in the Morrisby Guidance system for career assessment and built strong professional relationships with the majority of UK universities, as well as many institutions worldwide.
Prior to founding his companies, David was University Guidance Counselor at the British International School of Jeddah (2004–2010). His earlier leadership roles include Head of Key Stage 3 at Jeddah Prep and Grammar School (2002–2004), Head of Science at Academia Británica Cuscatleca in El Salvador (1999–2001), and Head of Science at The American School of Las Palmas, Spain (1990–1993).
A longstanding and active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), David has demonstrated sustained leadership at both national and affiliate levels. He served on the NACAC Board of Directors from 2011 to 2014, contributing to the organization’s strategic direction. From 2008 to 2010, he was deeply involved in the Affiliate Presidents’ Council, including service on the Imagine Fund Grants Subcommittee and the Ad Hoc Committee on Assembly Size (2008).
David has also played a significant leadership role within the Overseas Association for College Admission Counseling (now the International Association for College Admissions Counseling), where he has been a member since 2006. He served as President-elect (2008–2009), President (2009–2010), and Past President (2010–2011). During this period, he represented the affiliate as NACAC Assembly Delegate (2008–2011) and later as Chief Assembly Delegate (2010–2011), strengthening connections between the international counseling community and NACAC.
In addition, he has been a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association since 2012 and an Affiliated Consultant with the Council of International Schools since 2010.
David holds an M.A. in Education Management from the University of Bath, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Roehampton Institute (London), and a B.Sc. in Sciences from the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
