Kris holds a B.S. in Animal Science (minor in Equine Science) from Penn State and an M.S. in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Clemson University. As a student, Kris conducted and published scientific research, taught courses in scientific writing and animal science, and mentored four pre-vet students—all of whom were accepted into veterinary school! Through their graduate teaching experience, Kris supported students navigating mental health and learning differences by using a mentorship-based approach rooted in empathy, goal-setting, and encouragement.

For over 6 years, Kris has tutored students in a wide range of academic subjects such as chemistry, biology, and reading comprehension. In addition, Kris has extensive experience in helping students reach their goals in test prep subjects such as SAT, ACT, MCAT, and more!

Kris tailors strategies to help each student build confidence. Kris aims to move beyond rote memorization by connecting material to real-life contexts and creating a supportive space for students to take risks and grow. Outside of work, Kris enjoys wildlife photography, reading comics, playing video games, and crocheting.
