About Barrie M. Fox
Financial aid consultant | Academic coach
Barrie Fox has been working with families for more than 20 years, guiding them step-by-step through the financial-aid process at public, private, large, small, competitive and non-competitive institutions.
She has worked in academia and the private sector, helping families make informed choices about financing so that the actual, annual costs are crystal clear.

In 1996, she joined Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., in the Office of Financial Aid. While employed at Lynn, she obtained her Masters of Education in Varying Exceptionalities, which has proven especially useful when “teaching” families the complexities of financial aid.

In addition to her work in financial aid, Barrie has been working with students who have challenges learning through traditional delivery methods. Her work focuses on students who have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and executive functioning issues. Barrie works with student to help them learn their academic strengths and weakness along with teaching students skills, which will increase their time management, study skills as well as initiation difficulties.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from New Hampshire’s Plymouth State University with a concentration on human services.
